This short-lived creamery was built on the Bristol Road for the Moa Farmers Co-operative Dairy Company Limited by Messrs Peterson Bros. in time for the beginning of the 1911-1912 season. This creamery initially supplied cream to the main Moa butter factory in Inglewood about about 7.5km away. A cottage was also built for the creamery manager.
In 1918, casein plant was installed in the creamery with the casein being supplied to the New Zealand Casein Company in Wanganui. As more farmers went in for home separation, the Bristol Road creamery was eventually closed at the end of the 1922-1923 season before being advertised for sale in October 1923.
